Hello and welcome! I’m Sarah, the photographer behind Sarah Jayne Photography.

My journey with photography began in childhood, sparked by a fascination with capturing the world around me. However, like many, life took me on a different path. After working full-time and raising two children on my own, my early passion for photography was placed on hold.

It wasn’t until my children had grown and started lives of their own that I rediscovered my love for the lens. What began with phone cameras and compact digital devices quickly evolved into a serious pursuit, as I invested in professional DSLR equipment and a collection of high-end lenses and accessories.

​

My passion for photography grew organically from scenic shots of my beautiful local area to capturing meaningful moments for friends and family. It was an honour to be asked to photograph a friend’s wedding, and it was there that I truly found my calling. The joy of documenting such a personal and emotional day, and providing couples with lasting memories, is a privilege I never take for granted.

While weddings and portraits are at the heart of what I do, I still love scenic photography. Living near stunning coastlines and countryside, I’m continually inspired by the natural beauty around me, especially those dramatic sunrises and sunsets.
